Calamuchita Valley.

It is located between Sierras Chicas and Sierras Grandes mountain chains, on the banks of Calamuchita River. This region was part of the well known colonial estancia Santa Rosa.

Tha population of Calamuchita has different origins, some has Spanish origen such as people living in Santa Rosa, Yacanto and Amboy, but the others have Central European origen such as Villa General Belgrano, Villa Berna and La Cumbrecita population. The picturesque Tyrolean landscape of these towns are ideal for those tourists seeking for rest and peace.

We leave from Carlos Paz going south passing through beautiful mountain towns bordering rivers, such as Alta Gracia, where we can see the Jesuit missions, La Serranita, the City of America Village, General Belgrano Village and Santa Rosa de Calamuchita at the foot of La Sierra Chica (small hill). The road runs pass two lakes of outstandings beauty: the dam of the Molinos and the damming of the Third River, where we will lunch and visit the tourist village and the second largest nuclear plant in the country.

VILLA GENERAL BELGRANO:Villa General belgrano surprises the tourist with its traditional festivals, its art, and the peculiar central european architectural style. Most of the houses are built with wood and two hip roofs with red tails that provide with a peculiar style.
